The Xiaomi SU7 Executive Edition, a range-extender five-seat SUV, and a range-extender seven-seat SUV will also be released this year. Xiaomi Auto has announced that the Xiaomi SU7 will receive its first facelift. The new generation SU7 officially opened for limited pre-orders today at 10 AM, with the official market launch expected in April this year. The new generation SU7 maintains three trim levels, with pre-sale prices as follows: Standard trim: starting at 229,900 RMB(approx $33,000) Pro trim: starting at 259,900 RMB(approx $37,000) Max trim: starting at 309,900 RMB(approx $44,000) The new generation SU7 has received comprehensive upgrades in safety, assisted driving, interior details, and other configurations. This has also resulted in the pre-sale price of the entry-level model being 14,000 RMB more expensive than the current SU7 model. The new-generation SU7 starts pre-sales from 229,900 RMB. Let’s take a look at what configurations have been upgraded in the new generation SU7. Exterior/Interior Design: The new car will offer a new color scheme, including the newly announced “Capri Blue”. This exterior color takes inspiration from the Blue Grotto on Italy’s Capri Island. Different from the current Gulf Blue, Capri Blue has a hue between sky blue and turquoise. Furthermore, the new car is equipped with newly designed alloy wheels and red brake calipers. The exterior mirror housings also feature a black finish. The interior has been redesigned with a new two-tone steering wheel, center console, seats, and ambient lighting. The interior has been redesigned. Safety: Passive safety has been upgraded. The new car adopts a 2200MPa Xiaomi ultra-high-strength steel “embedded roll cage” and comes standard with 9 airbags system-wide, adding 2 rear side airbags. For battery safety, it also uses a 1500MPa anti-scratch bottom crossbeam combined with an “anti-puncture coating” design on the underside. Assisted Driving: The new car comes standard with LiDAR and 4D millimeter-wave radar across all trims, with an assisted driving computing power of 700 TOPS. It is worth noting that while only the Pro and Max versions of the current SU7 are equipped with Xiaomi HAD end-to-end assisted driving, the new car now includes it as standard on all versions. Range: The Standard and Pro versions utilize a 752V silicon carbide high-voltage platform. The Pro version achieves a CLTC range of up to 902km, an increase of 72km compared to the current model. The Max version uses an 897V silicon carbide high-voltage platform, with official test data showing a 670km CLTC range replenishment in 15 minutes. Chassis: The new car comes standard with the V6s Plus super electric motor, front four-piston fixed calipers, and wider rear tires across all trims. Additionally, the Pro and Max versions will be equipped with a closed dual-chamber air spring system and CDC (Continuous Damping Control) dampers, enhancing the driving feel. The current SU7 model As the first model from Xiaomi Auto, looking back at the market performance of the first-generation Xiaomi SU7, it can be described as phenomenal. The Xiaomi SU7 was officially launched on March 28, 2024, with deliveries starting in April. Since its market debut, both its sales figures and public discussion have remained exceptionally high. It took only 1 year and 9 months to deliver over 360,000 vehicles, averaging more than 17,000 units per month. Data from Autohome shows that over the past year, the Xiaomi SU7 became the best-selling sedan priced above 200,000 RMB. Xiaomi targets 550,000 vehicle deliveries in 2026. According to the plan, besides the upcoming new generation SU7, the Xiaomi SU7 Executive Edition, a range-extender five-seat SUV, and a range-extender seven-seat SUV will also be released this year. On January 3rd, Lei Jun stated during a livestream that Xiaomi Auto’s delivery target for 2026 is 550,000 vehicles. This means aiming for a 34% growth from the 2025 delivery figure of 410,000 units.
