CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - With the new year comes new construction in the Midstate.There is a new traffic pattern coming to Clarksville in January that motorists need to be aware of.On January 19, the Tennessee Department of Transportation will be installing stop signs in both directions on Rossview Road at the Rollow Lane intersection. This will make the intersection an all-way stop.New traffic pattern coming to Clarksville this monthTDOT said message boards will be put in place next week in the area to make drivers aware of the upcoming change.This new traffic pattern comes after a traffic study conducted by TDOT.More changes will also be happened across Tennessee.Governor Bill Lee and TDOT Commissioner Will Reid announced $42 million in state and federal grants to increase safety for pedestrians, bikers and transit users.Additionally, TDOT said it will be investing in new transit centers in Nashville, Murfreesboro, Martin, Kingsport and Pigeon Forge.
