MG made the announcement on July 30. The reported figure covers pre-sale reservations rather than completed sales or customer deliveries. MG 07 opened pre-sales in China on July 29 with a starting price of 125,900 yuan (18,600 USD). The electric fastback sedan had already appeared at dealerships across China before pre-sales began. Production and design details The MG 07 entered production before its China pre-sale launch, with the first production vehicle rolling off the assembly line at SAIC’s Zhengzhou facility in early July. The lineup includes five versions: MG 07 650 Comfort: 125,900 yuan (18,600 USD) MG 07 610 LiDAR: 135,900 yuan (20,100 USD) MG 07 610 Flagship: 145,900 yuan (21,500 USD) MG 07 845 LiDAR: 155,900 yuan (23,000 USD) MG 07 845 Flagship: 165,900 yuan (24,500 USD) Customer deliveries are scheduled to begin in August 2026 for lower-specification versions, while higher-end 800V variants are planned to enter delivery in October 2026. The MG 07 measures 4,886 mm in length, 1,900 mm in width, and 1,485 mm in height, with a 2,825 mm wheelbase. The liftback-style fastback sedan uses frameless doors, a five-stage electrically adjustable rear spoiler, and two available 19-inch wheel designs. Smart driving and interior equipment Higher-specification MG 07 versions add a roof-mounted LiDAR sensor and use Momenta’s R7 world model with an X7 chip for driver-assistance functions, including Navigate on Autopilot (NOA) and autonomous parking. Inside, the sedan features a passenger zero-gravity seat, a 15.6-inch 2.5K central display powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295P chip, a 21-speaker 7.1.4-channel audio system, 3D Moli real-time interaction, and vehicle-to-phone connectivity. Storage capacity includes a 168-litre front trunk and a 697-litre rear trunk. MG’s EV sales context According to June 2026 sales data from China EV DataTracker, the MG4 Urban recorded 14,397 units, accounting for 71.5% of listed MG EV model sales. The MG 4X recorded 4,003 units, representing 19.9%. Together, the two models accounted for 91.4% of listed MG EV sales in the dataset. The MG 07 starts at 125,900 yuan (18,600 USD), while the XPeng Mona M03 starts at around 119,800 yuan (17,700 USD) and the Xiaomi SU7 starts at 215,900 yuan (31,900 USD).
