This model is available in five trim levels. Its flagship variant offers a LiDAR sensor, 845 km of CLTC range, and 5C charging, while the entry-level car offers a liquid-solid battery. The MG 07 will officially enter the market in August 2026, with deliveries of the entry-level powertrain variant starting immediately. The more expensive version with an 800V high-voltage system will reach customers in October. This sedan previously arrived at dealers for display. The brand’s officials positioned the 07’s resemblance to the mentioned cars as a benefit, including the direct comparison in the official presentation. It adopts a smooth body shape with a sleek roofline, semi-hidden door handles, and sculpted rear fenders. The car offers a 168-liter frunk and a 697-liter trunk. Its interior adopts a 15.6-inch screen and a thin LCD instrument cluster powered by a Snapdragon 8295P chip. The MG 07 liftback. Credit: MG Other features of the MG 07’s cabin include 34 storage spaces, heated and ventilated seats, and up to 21 speakers. The front passenger seat boasts a “zero-gravity” mode with a power leg rest. Higher trims of the MG 07 adopt a LiDAR sensor on the roof, which is complemented by the Momenta R7 world model and the X7 chip. This vehicle can perform various assisted driving functions, including the Navigate On Autopilot (NOA) and autonomous parking. Interior of the MG 07 The entry-level MG 07 without a LiDAR sensor has a 67 kWh liquid-solid battery pack from SAIC subsidiary Qingtao for 650 km of CLTC range. This battery sends power to a single electric motor in the front axle with a peak power output of 176 kW (236 hp). Its zero-to-hundred acceleration time is 6.9 seconds. The LiDAR-equipped variants of the MG 07 with the same pack provide 610 km of CLTC range. The higher trims of this liftback adopt a 91 kWh ternary NMC battery manufactured by CATL. Thanks to an 800V high-voltage system, this pack supports 5C charging. The car’s range reaches 845 km under CLTC conditions. Moreover, this variant of the 07 offers a 235 kW (315 hp) electric motor. As a result, this model speeds up to 100 km/h in 5.9 seconds. Another highlight is active suspension. According to China EV DataTracker, MG delivered 93,400 cars from January to June 2026 in China, up 85.9% Year-Over-Year. Its current bestseller is the MG4 electric hatchback, which sold 70,753 units in H1 2026 domestically. With the upcoming launch of the 07, MG aims to broaden the lineup and enhance sales.
