(Image courtesy of Massey Ferguson)Massey Ferguson has introduced the 7S Mark 2 Series, a six-model lineup spanning 170hp to 245hp that slots between the existing MF 7S and the MF 8S Xtra. Full production and first deliveries are scheduled for spring 2027, and existing 7S models stay on in the lineup."With the MF 7S Mark 2, we are expanding our tractor offering with models that bridge the gap in terms of size and power between the MF 7S and MF 8S Xtra series," said Jérôme Aubrion, director marketing, Massey Ferguson Europe & Middle East. The series carries a new 7.5-liter AGCO Power engine, a six-cylinder unit running a single turbo that Massey Ferguson says has 25 percent fewer parts than the outgoing design, improving long-term reliability. The engine meets Stage V emissions standards without relying on exhaust gas recirculation. Torque holds flat from 800rpm to 1,500rpm across every model, and peak power is on tap over a wide speed range, so engine power management is unnecessary. Fuel efficiency gains have been recorded in early field testing. At 410 liters, the fuel tank is 25 percent larger than the MF 7S equivalent, while the 56.5-liter AdBlue tank is 88 percent bigger.A two-range Dyna-VT transmission is now standard, offering a top speed of 57km/h with added ParkLock and an emergency brake. A four-speed PTO comes as standard, as do closed-center, load-sensing hydraulics that deliver peak flows of 110, 150, or 190 liters/min.Chassis, cab, and technologyThe wheelbase stretches to 2.95m from 2.88m on the MF 7S, a change Massey Ferguson says lowers the front ballast required when running large rear implements. A redesigned front axle trims the turning radius to 5.3m, and the 14-tonne gross vehicle weight lets operators transport heavier implements within legal road limits. For the series, BKT has engineered two rear tires measuring 2m in diameter, drawn from its Agrimax V-Flecto range. The reworked cab, based on the MF 8S, offers 3.4m³ of interior room and 6.6m² of glass, and the Protect-U layout keeps a 24cm separation between engine and cab to cut noise, vibration, and heat. The Datatronic 6 12-inch touchscreen can show as many as four camera feeds simultaneously. The 7S Mark 2 is also the first Massey Ferguson lineup to leave the factory with PTx FarmEngage, AGCO's mixed-fleet management software, installed. This article was prepared with the assistance of automated tools and human research and verified by our editorial team. The post Massey Ferguson 7S Mark 2 brings six models from 170 to 245hp appeared first on AGDAILY.
