That ' an improvement of over two seconds on a previous record set by the non-Manthey GT2 RS back in 2019.A current 911 GT3 with a Manthey kit completed the lap in 1:24.639, a couple of tenths faster than the former overall record set by the basic GT2 RS. A 2025 GT3 RS with a Manthey kit completed the same run in 1:23.932, 7/10ths of a second up on the non-RS GT3.Long-time Porsche factory GT driver and current Porsche brand ambassador Jörg Bergmeister set the times in all three cars, including the record-setting run in the GT2 RS. All three cars ran on Porsche-specific N-code tires, specifically the Pirelli P Zero Trofeo RS N1 for the basic GT3 and Pirelli P Zero Trofeo RS N0 for the GT3 RS. The GT2 RS ran on Michelin's Pilot Sport Cup 2 R N0 tires rather than a set of Pirellis.
