Not only is a Manthey-equipped Taycan Turbo GT the new fastest EV on the Nürburgring Nordschleife, the current GT3 and outgoing GT3 RS have each set their own impressive new benchmarks at Germany's most famous track. The Manthey battalion is now turning its eyes to Road Atlanta, where a trio of cars have all set impressive times of their own. And one, a lap by a Manthey-equipped 991-generation GT2 RS, is a new production car record. The Manthey kit GT2 RS set a time of 1:22.649, about 2/10ths of a second quicker than a record set by the non-hybrid, C8-generation Corvette ZR1 during a five-track barnstorming tour announced in February of 2025. That ' an improvement of over two seconds on a previous record set by the non-Manthey GT2 RS back in 2019.A current 911 GT3 with a Manthey kit completed the lap in 1:24.639, a couple of tenths faster than the former overall record set by the basic GT2 RS. A 2025 GT3 RS with a Manthey kit completed the same run in 1:23.932, 7/10ths of a second up on the non-RS GT3.Long-time Porsche factory GT driver and current Porsche brand ambassador Jörg Bergmeister set the times in all three cars, including the record-setting run in the GT2 RS. All three cars ran on Porsche-specific N-code tires, specifically the Pirelli P Zero Trofeo RS N1 for the basic GT3 and Pirelli P Zero Trofeo RS N0 for the GT3 RS. The GT2 RS ran on Michelin's Pilot Sport Cup 2 R N0 tires rather than a set of Pirellis. All three are aggressive, track-focused compounds ideal for setting the fastest possible single lap.You Might Also LikeIf You Can Only Own One Car, Make It One of TheseThese Are the Most Popular Cars by State
