Klim's 'Perfect Winter' Series Has Us Wanting Snow To Fall Right NowRideApartinfo@rideapart.com (Jonathon Klein)Fri, September 11, 2026 at 12:24 PM UTCAdd us on GooglerMhHi2eH18IWho's ready for snowmobile season? The temps by my house are getting cooler already. Granted, I live at 7,000 feet above sea level, but still, that chill is in the air, and fall is fast approaching. And in our neck of the woods, that means snow could fall at pretty much any point from now until December, when things tend to hit the fan. I recall one late August's adventure into the real high backcountry when I saw 6 inches of snow fall within the span of two hours. Again, in August. That sort of precipitation, along with the currently forecasted Super El Nino that's been hammering the Western states for the last few weeks with massive monsoon rains, titanic thunderstorms, a handful of catastrophic hurricanes in the Pacific, which have been devastating Hawai'i, and swells along the western Pacific coastlines, is also set to potentially bring about a winter for the record books. Indeed, while much of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration has been decimated by budget cuts, thanks to the current U.S. administration, the weather forecasters are saying snow is gonna fall and fall hard. AdvertisementAdvertisementThat prediction has the good folks at Klim just itching with anticipation to shred some fresh powder, as evidenced by the brand's latest YouTube series called "Perfect Winter," and, honestly, it's got me absolutely stoked, too. Before the mountains turn white. Before the trails are groomed," starts the launch video in an ominous and excitement-building narrator's voice, informing the viewer, adding, "You're already thinking about what this winter's going to be."The video goes on to stoke the stoke and build your already manic excitement into what I can only describe as a frenzy, as you hear the sound of turbocharged two-strokes slicing their way through fresh powder, kids ride youth-spec snowmobiles, and a bunch of trail riding regulars tear up frozen lakes. "Perfect Winter" is meant to showcase everything in the snowmobiling world over the course of nine episodes, including racing, backcountry powder, trail riding, and even avalanche mitigation and warnings—something we definitely need more of due to those aforementioned budget cuts. And given our man Robbie Bacon is currently testing some new Klim gear across the Wild Atlantic Way in Ireland, we'll have some more thoughts on the gear sometime in the near future, too.
