Gasgoo Munich- At the 17th AUTOSAR Open Conference (AOC) held June 10-11, AUTOSAR and iSOFT Infrastructure Software Co., Ltd. jointly announced a significant technical contribution to the Common Adaptive Platform Implementation (CAPI). We hope to join hands with global partners to build a robust ecosystem and accelerate the industry's development."In the official AUTOSAR exhibition area, a Pi-Car model running CAPI software demonstrated successful operation. The system breaks down functions such as perception, decision-making, and control into multiple Adaptive Applications (AAs). Leveraging iSOFT's ORIENTAIS Studio AP toolchain, the team handled service interface design, communication binding configuration, and system generation. After cross-compilation and packaging, the software was deployed to the vehicle model, where applications collaborated via the standardized AP middleware ara::com to achieve a full "perception-decision-execution" loop.The CAPI baseline code featured in the demonstration was independently developed by iSOFT. It fully implements 15 core functional clusters—including communication, execution management, logging, and diagnostics. Already deployed in several mass-production models, the code serves as an underlying open base for intelligent vehicles (SDV/AIDV).This achievement marks a significant milestone in AUTOSAR's history, signaling a shift from a specification-centric standard to an executable, engineering-oriented software platform. The evolution is designed to fully support the shift toward software-defined vehicles (SDV) and AI-defined vehicles (AIDV).iSOFT's contribution includes production-ready Adaptive Platform software components and integration capabilities. These elements support centralized computing architectures and service-oriented communication, while adapting to modern automotive software development workflows.The technology offers several key benefits: it accelerates the integration and deployment of AUTOSAR Adaptive Platform solutions. It enhances interoperability among OEMs, suppliers, semiconductor platforms, and development tools. The technology supports modern development workflows such as CI/CD, DevOps, and MLOps. It also adapts to centralized architectures for software-defined and AI-defined vehicles. Ultimately, it aims to drive deeper collaboration across the global automotive ecosystem.As the first Chinese company to open-source an automotive operating system, iSOFT previously launched the "China Automotive OS Open Source Co-construction Plan." It also initiated the "Open Source Xinghui Plan." It has released EasyXMen, the world's first mass-production, open-source secure automotive OS, and EasyAda, the first intelligent driving OS microkernel. This CAPI project further cements Puhua's commitment to building automotive operating systems through open-source models.
