On May 20, IM Motors announced the launch of the LS6 “SAIC 100 Million ” Special Edition to commemorate SAIC Motor surpassing 100 million cumulative vehicle deliveries, alongside a RMB 100 million ($14.71 million) subsidy campaign. More notably, IM Motors also confirmed for the first time that the next-generation LS6 and L6 will launch in the third quarter of this year. The limited edition will be offered in two variants — 76 Max and 103 Max — with limited-time prices of RMB 211,900 ($31,170) and RMB 231,900 ($34,110), respectively. IM LS6 “SAIC 100 Million ” Special Edition Nationwide sales will be capped at 5,000 units, with deliveries scheduled to begin in early June. Compared with the existing Max trims, pricing for the limited edition has increased by around RMB 10,000 ($1,470), though the equipment level has also been significantly upgraded. As a special-edition model, the entire lineup comes standard with a “520-line ultra-long-range LiDAR” and Nvidia Thor intelligent driving chip, delivering total AI computing power of 700 TOPS. In terms of powertrain, the limited edition continues to use an 800V high-voltage architecture and CATL battery packs. The 76 Max offers a CLTC-rated range of 650 km, while the 103 Max extends CLTC range to 802 km. Current IM LS6 At the same time, IM Motors has also launched a dedicated promotional sales period for the current LS6 and L6 models. Fixed pricing for existing inventory now starts from RMB 189,900 ($27,940), further accelerating inventory clearance ahead of the model transition. From a market-performance perspective, the LS6 has already become IM Motors’ core sales pillar. Current IM L6 Data showed that IM Motors delivered 81,017 vehicles in 2025, with the LS6 alone contributing 51,779 units, accounting for roughly 64% of the brand’s annual sales volume. Entering 2026, IM Motors’ sales momentum has also rebounded sharply. In April, the brand delivered 10,016 vehicles, up 201.1% year-on-year. Cumulative sales for the first four months of 2026 reached 23,867 units, representing a 130% year-on-year increase.
