How QJMotor Just Beat Harley And Indian In The Cruiser Bike World
We all know Chinese motorcycle companies never stop innovating. In some cases, this results in interesting technologies like a seat belt for motorcyclists. In others, we get creations that promise to leave some of us scratching our heads. The motorcycle in context here belongs to the latter. We’re talking about the QJMotor SRV12, which beats American giants by being one of the smallest V-twin cruisers today.

The QJMotor SRV12 Has A 125cc V-twin Engine

In the hunt for bragging rights, we’ve seen Harley-Davidson and Indian whip up some of the largest V-twin engines. The former leads the way with its Milwaukee-Eight 121 engine while the latter is working on a 122 cubic-inch V-twin mill. Beating these is no easy task, so QJMotor has gone the other way.
It has whipped up one of the smallest V-twin cruiser bikes in the form of the SRV12. The baby cruiser employs a 125cc, V-twin engine, armed with liquid cooling and a six-speed transmission. The result is an output of 14 horsepower and 7.37 pound-feet, which ensures a top speed of over 62 miles per hour. Yes, that figure is low, but we believe it’s limited to help meet European license norms (14 HP is the max limit for 125cc bikes).

Power | 14 HP @ 10,000 RPM |
Torque | 7.37 LB-FT @ 9,250 RPM |
Transmission | Six-speed |
A Sportster-Like Design And Simple Underpinnings Round Off The Package

While the engine is the highlight, the SRV12 scores well elsewhere, too. You get a steel chassis, paired with USD forks and dual shock absorbers. This is topped with a set of 16/15-inch alloy wheels, each of which has ABS-equipped disc brakes to slow things down. These ensure the SRV tips the scale at 360 pounds, with its 3.56-gallon tank filled to the brim.
Meanwhile, all of that is neatly packaged in a Sportster-like aesthetic. There’s a round LED headlight up top, flanked by a peanut-shaped tank. A chopped fender accompanies these, along with chunky tires and blacked-out mechanicals. Chrome fans can look away, though. As for features, you get:
- All-LED lights
- Digital instrument cluster
- Dual-channel ABS
- Alloy wheels
- Adjustable front brake lever
QJMotor Might Not Bring The SRV12 To America

As capable as the SRV seems, we don’t think QJMotor will bring it to the US. Why? Simply because such small-capacity cruiser bikes are frowned upon here. For good reason, too, as Americans are spoiled for choice with an army of large-capacity options.
So QJ might have beaten Harley and Indian in the smallest V-twin cruiser game, but we don’t think this will find a place in markets with no license norms. Luckily, QJ has the SRV300 available in America in case you want a small yet peppy V-twin cruiser.
