Honda Accord Hybrid Owner Has Already Brought His Vehicle to the Dealership Three Times: "I Haven't Even Made My First Payment Yet"Guessing HeadlightsHenry KelsallMon, September 21, 2026 at 8:40 PM UTCAdd us on GoogleImage Credit: @averageamex/TikTokA man has taken to TikTok to say that his nearly-new 2026 Honda Accord Hybrid has already been to a dealership three times, despite being brand new. What makes it worse is that he claims that Honda hasn't figured out what is wrong with the car.TikTok creator @averageamex bought a 2026 Honda Accord Hybrid EX-L which only had 5,000 miles on the clock, so it was, to all intents and purposes, brand new. Despite this seeming to be a brand-new car, the TikTok user said he was having several issues with it.In his video, we can see the car being dropped off after Honda had failed to repair it. Even though the owner could hear a worrying noise coming from the car, Honda told him it was still drivable, leaving the TikTok user very confused.AdvertisementAdvertisementHonda told him that they could not find an issue with the car, as the technicians "couldn't replicate the noise," which did not sit well with the TikTok user. Annoyed at what he felt was poor customer service, the owner decided to record the noise for Honda himself. What Was Wrong With This 2026 Honda Accord? The TikTok user said there is a loud noise coming from the Honda when it is driven forward and in reverse. Honda, however, didn't seem able to fix the problem, as they said they couldn't reproduce the sound. Incredibly, the TikTok user had three separate visits to dealerships to try to get the problem sorted, but not a single visit resulted in it being fixed. So in his video, @averageamex decided to try something himself. He placed his microphone, usually used for making videos for social media, underneath the car. He placed it near a component of the car he calls the controller and tried to record what Honda could not replicate. The clip suggests it did not take a long time at all for the problem to return and for the car to make a strange noise. That left the Honda owner to plead with the manufacturer to try to get it fixed. "Maybe actually diagnose it. Repair what's wrong with it," he said. The owner of the Honda has a family and doesn't want to take his children out in the car if he has doubts as to whether it is safe or not. Later in the video, we see the car driving, but with the dashboard lit up like a Christmas tree with warning lights.AdvertisementAdvertisement"Honda, you have all the information in the world to figure out what you need to do to get on board to repair my vehicle," he said.Could the Owner Have Filed a Lemon Law Claim?Image Credit: @averageamex/TikTokThe video certainly gained some traction, and it left some viewers pondering whether the TikTok user should file a lemon law claim. Lemon laws allow those who have bought new cars that have persistent issues that a dealership can't fix to file a claim under the sale. That allows them to get their money back. This particular Honda could be a car that falls into that category, as it is clear it has plenty of problems. One other commenter said to try and find a different Honda service department. Perhaps another dealership would be able to get it over the line. Another said that they should escalate the issue. "Take it to corporate, bro. The only reason they won't fix it cause it's #Warranty, and they're mechanics. Don't get paid #Warranty," they said.Either way, it's understandable why this particular Honda owner wasn't very happy. If you want more stories like this, follow Guessing Headlights on Yahoo so you don't miss what's coming next.
