Ford issued a recall for 548,463 Expedition SUVs because the chrome plating on the center console could chip and become dangerous to occupants.According to associated NHTSA documents, the recall covers a subset of 2018–2024 Expeditions, with an estimated 12.8 percent of the recall population affected.Owners will be instructed to bring their vehicle to a dealership to have the console inspected and replaced if bubbling or peeling is present.
