After a successful pilot in Europe, Swedish AI logistics firm Einride is deploying its SAE Level 4 autonomous electric semi trucks in the US, connecting EASE Logistics warehouses in Marysville, Ohio as part of the DriveOhio Truck Automation Corridor Project. Starting this summer, the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) DriveOhio Truck Automation Corridor Project is partnering with Einride and the Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) to evaluate the potential impact of autonomous technology on operations, safety, and freight efficiency on the broader US trucking fleet. The project will place two of Einride’s autonomous electric trucks in daily operation on public and private roads between EASE Logistics warehouses. “EASE is proud to continue advancing the Truck Automation Corridor Project alongside DriveOhio and innovative partners like Einride,” said EASE Logistics President & CEO, Peter Coratola, Jr. “Deployments like this help move autonomous trucking from controlled pilots into daily freight operations, where safety, reliability, and efficiency can be evaluated at scale. By working with leading autonomous technology providers, including Einride, in real-world environments, we’re helping accelerate the infrastructure and operational readiness required for the next generation of freight transportation.” Advertisement - scroll for more content The project is EASE Logistics’ third such autonomous trucking evaluation deployment, and reinforces the company’s role as one of the few logistics providers in the country actively testing multiple autonomous freight platforms in live operational environments. For Einride’s part, they’re hoping the Marysville, Ohio deployment further highlights the company’s very real autonomous driving tech. “Deploying our autonomous trucks in daily logistics operations with EASE reflects years of rigorous development and real-world validation.
