It will rival the BYD Song Ultra domestically. The new model adopts BEV and EREV powertrain options and boasts styling from the ex-head of design at Volkswagen. The Changan Nevo Q06 is a sleek SUV with pronounced fenders, a slanted bonnet line, split headlights, a single taillight unit, and semi-hidden door handles. Its styling was created by Klaus Zyciora, who serves as vice president at Changan Automobile. Dimensions of the Q06 are 4837/1970/1670 mm with a wheelbase of 2,940 mm. It rides on 20-inch wheels. This crossover’s drag coefficient is 0.27 Cd. The Changan Nevo Q06 The car’s interior follows minimalistic styling. Its dashboard adopts a 15.6-inch touchscreen with a block of physical controls. There is a small LCD instrument cluster behind a D-shaped steering wheel. Other fine features of the Q06 include a head-up display, a wireless phone charger, and a gear shifter mounted on the steering column. According to Changan officials, soft materials cover 90.6% of the cabin. The car’s ambient lighting spans 4,450 mm across the interior. The Nevo Q06 offers a space utilization rate of 91.7%. Its second-row seats boast the 145-degree power recline feature alongside a 28-point massage. The front seats adopt zero-gravity mode. There is a retractable screen on the roof. Another feature is a 9.5-liter built-in fridge. The car’s trunk offers a volume of 782 liters as standard. This number could be increased to 2,200 liters with the rear seats folded down. The Q06 BEV also has a 196-liter compartment under the hood. Interior of the Changan Nevo Q06 This mid-size crossover adopts a roof-mounted 256-line LiDAR sensor complemented by 11 cameras and three mm-wave radars. They send information to a processor with a peak computing power of 560 TOPS. It allows the car to stop automatically from a speed of 135 km/h. Another feature is the Automatic Emergency Steering (AES) system that operates within the 60–120 km/h speed range. The entry-level Changan Nevo Q06 BEV comes standard with a single electric motor in the rear axle for 225 kW (302 hp) paired with a 66 kWh LFP battery. The CLTC range is 602 km, which translates to 494 km under WLTP conditions. Its more powerful variant offers a combination of a 245 kW (329 hp) e-motor and an 80 kWh LFP pack for 700 km (574 km WLTP). There is also a dual-motor rear-wheel-drive version with a peak power of 330 kW (443 hp) and an 80 kWh battery for 670 km CLTC (549 km WLTP). It speeds up to 100 km/h in 4.8 seconds. The EREV version of the Changan Nevo Q06 features a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated engine under the hood that acts as a generator. Its peak power is 72 kW (97 hp). It comes standard with two electric motors in the rear axle with a combined peak power of 270 kW (362 hp). The zero-to-hundred acceleration time is 5.8 seconds.
