Cadillac Celestiq Night Test: A Moody One-OffCadillacHey, all you billionaires! Cadillac doesn't want you to forget that it has a hugely expensive car you can customize to your heart's content, and as a physical reminder, the brand is showing off this one-of-one commission of its $360,000-plus Celestiq electric sedan.Called the Night Test, it features a moody and broody color palette of blacks and blues. It will be on display at this year's The Quail show during Monterey Car Week, which has turned into the place for luxury, exotic, and boutique automakers to show off or debut their finest creations. The car's inspiration and name are drawn, Cadillac says, from the "quiet, after-hours world where real performance is honed," using athletes or musicians practicing alone at night as examples.CadillacThe Night Test is coated in a color called Caspia Tricoat Metallic, a rich blue teamed with dark detailing in the lights, trim, and 23-inch wheels. The interior is lined with Backen Black and Transparent Gray leather, while carbon fiber and brushed metal serve as accents.AdvertisementAdvertisementThe car, as are all Celestiqs, was assembled by hand at Cadillac's Artisan Center in Warren, Michigan, on the campus of GM's Tech Center. There, buyers can visit Cadillac House for an immersive session to spec every detail of their car. In that way, every Celestiq is really one-of-one, and a similar process called Curated by Cadillac is soon going to be available for the Escalade IQ electric SUV.Photo credit: CadillacPhoto credit: CadillacPhoto credit: CadillacPhoto credit: CadillacAdvertisementAdvertisementPhoto credit: CadillacPhoto credit: CadillacPhoto credit: CadillacPhoto credit: CadillacAdvertisementAdvertisement
