Cadillac is having a very historic year. 2026 marks the end of production for its headline-grabbing super-sedans, the Blackwing-badged CT4-V and CT5-V, and the automaker is also celebrating its first-ever entry into the bucks-up world of Formula 1. Cadillac will blend these two milestones – one a new beginning and the other a bittersweet end – into one with the 2026 CT5-V Blackwing F1 Collector Series, a special edition that celebrates the company's home-country F1 debut at the Crypto.com Miami Grand Prix this weekend. FIA-Sanctioned Style The monochromatic CT5-V Blackwing special edition mirrors the styling of its open-wheel sibling via a monochromatic color scheme, starting with Midnight Stone Frost paint – Cadillac's term for matte black. Carbon Flash (read: dark gray) wheels and edition-exclusive Harbor Gray brake calipers fill out the wheel wells nicely, with glossy carbon fiber lower bodywork set off with a precisely applied silver pinstripe. The Blackwing F1 Collector Series also gets a tall carbon fiber rear lip spoiler, finishing off the motorsports-themed design.2026 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing F1 Collector Series Exterior 1Officially developed with the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA), the governing body behind Formula 1, the special edition also gets a litany of logos peppered about. That rear wing, for example, has a big, red F1 logo on the driver's side, with another one stamped in relief into the sheetmetal of the front doors. An FIA logo appears on the side skirts, as well as underneath the center console's carbon fiber trim and on a special serial badge inside. The F1 logo shows up again on the headrests and the 3D-printed shift knob medallion, with the Cadillac Formula 1 team logo proudly emblazoned on the sill plate. Looks Fast, Goes Even Faster CadillacThe CT5-V Blackwing is mighty impressive right out of the box, with its supercharged 6.2-liter V8 making 668 horsepower and punting the rear-drive sedan to 60 miles per hour in about 3.5 seconds. However, the F1 Collector Series will arguably be faster still, thanks to a new supercharger that pumps output up to 685 horses and 673 pound-feet, a new record for an internal-combustion Cadillac. GM Motorsports developed the blower, with a CNC-machined F1 logo on the aluminum cover setting it apart visually from the superchargers in "lesser" Blackwings. And in a testament to the genuinely enthusiastic sort of buyer the company hopes to attract with the special edition, every CT5-V F1 will come equipped with a six-speed manual gearbox. The Collector Series will attempt to keep all of that stick-shifted power under control by getting the Precision package, which includes an extensively revised suspension with a new front sway bar, front and rear springs, and suspension links, all controlled by specially tuned magnetic dampers. The Precision bits also include carbon-ceramic brakes and high-performance summer tires. Is It A Car Or An Investment? The CT5-V Blackwing F1 Collector Series will be limited to just 26 units in total, with a list price of $260,000 – twenty-sixes across the board to commemorate Cadillac's 2026 entry into the racing series. Although most of its cosmetic add-ons really only add value to motorsports enthusiasts, heaven knows there are enough of those out there to maybe make this thing a pretty decent purchase.2026 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing F1 Collector Series Interior 1After all, between the ever-rarer manual gearbox and edition-exclusive power boost – plus the almost assuredly expensive FIA and F1 logo package – we could see car enthusiasts paying big bucks for one of these in a decade or so. Still, that's no excuse to buy a 2026 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing F1 and mothball it away from the world, so we hope to see one out at the track this summer doing its best impression of the Grand Prix racer.Source: Cadillac
