IntelligenceThe interior is centred around the BMW Panoramic iDrive system. It introduces a “Panoramic Vision Bridge” and a 3D head-up display that uses ultra-short-throw projection to cast a 40-inch 4K high-definition panoramic image onto the windshield. A 17.9-inch touchscreen is tilted 17.5 degrees toward the driver for better ergonomics. In terms of connectivity, the system is compatible with Huawei HiCar and Apple CarPlay, and it integrates Alibaba’s AI large language model and DeepSeek’s reasoning capabilities. For autonomous driving, BMW collaborated with Momenta to develop an end-to-end AI driving system capable of handling complex urban and highway scenarios in China. PerformanceThe iX3 is powered by the sixth-generation BMW eDrive technology and an 800V high-voltage architecture. It utilises 108 kWh 4695 large cylindrical batteries with “Cell to Pack” (CTP) technology, resulting in a 20% increase in energy density and a 30% increase in range compared to the previous generation. The iX3 50L model is equipped with an asynchronous front motor and an excited synchronous rear motor, delivering a combined power output of 351 kW (477 hp). Performance highlights include: Range: Up to 900 km (CLTC). Efficiency: Official energy consumption as low as 15.1 kWh/100 km. Charging: A 10-minute charge provides 400km of range (CLTC), with a 10% to 80% fast charge taking 21 minutes. Regarding utility, the car offers a 58L front trunk and a rear luggage capacity of 540L, which can be expanded to 1,600L with the rear seats folded. The interior of the new BMW iX3.
