Alpine will take on title sponsorship from Gucci in Formula 1 from 2027 and race in the colors of the Italian fashion brand’s new platform.The team has existed as Alpine since 2021, when it was rebranded by majority owner Renault, and has had title partnership from BWT since 2022.The squad will from 2027 be known as Gucci Racing Alpine Formula One Team.It is the first time the luxury Italian fashion house has had an affiliation with a Formula 1 operation.Alpine has history with a clothing arm as it operated under the Benetton guise between 1986 and 2001, winning titles with Michael Schumacher in 1994/95. The deal was facilitated by the presence of Luca de Meo as the CEO of Gucci’s parent company Kering, who he joined in 2025 after six years in the same role at Renault.Alpine driver Pierre Gasly in his current-liveried car, with title sponsor BWT. Gucci unveiled a specific black-and-gold logo for its new Gucci Racing division during Wednesday’s announcement, hinting at a livery shift for Alpine next year.“Partnering with a prestigious brand of Gucci’s calibre in Formula 1 as title partner of Alpine Formula One Team is something I am incredibly proud of,” said Alpine’s Executive Director Flavio Briatore.“Not only that, but I am also excited about the possibilities the partnership with Gucci brings and the great things we can achieve together at a global level. “The Enstone Team has a history of doing things differently to others and has previously shown that fashion can finish first in Formula 1.”Alpine has enjoyed an upturn in fortunes under new regulations in 2026 and holds fifth position in the Constructors’ Championship.
