After Lewis Hamilton, Lando Norris Shows His Love for the an Iconic Ferrari in LondonMotorBiscuitSaajan JogiaMon, September 21, 2026 at 10:00 AM UTCAdd us on GoogleMaybe the Ferrari F40 is an F1 driver's thing, or rather, an F1 champion's thing. Seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton recently purchased his own F40, which he described as a dream car. Now, McLaren Racing F1 driver Lando Norris' Ferrari F40 has reportedly been spotted in London.Introduced in 1987 to mark Ferrari's 40th anniversary, the F40 is powered by a rear-mounted 2.9-liter twin-turbo V8 making 478 hp, with a factory-rated top speed of around 201 mph (324 km/h). Ferrari built just 1,311 examples, making the model highly desirable for its rarity, performance, and history.Norris bought the F40 in late 2024. His supercar went viral after his friend took the wheel and crashed it after losing control outside Monaco in 2025. Now though, more than a year after the crash, the Ferrari seems to have been rebuilt and was spotted parked on a London street a few days ago.AdvertisementAdvertisement"I love they made it such a big deal that HAM got one and Lando is just like "yeah and what?"" One user wrote in the comments. Another user remarked, "What a beauty😍😍" [sic]Another user called Norris brave, writing: "Very brave leaving this kind of car in an unattended "parking spot" in London."The raw, analog feel that the F40 offers, without computers adding a layer of control and safety, is what keeps F1 drivers desiring them. MotorBiscuit recently reported that Hamilton got his hands on an extremely low-mileage Ferrari F40 and that it spent roughly 35 years inside a private garage before Azimut Automobile Heritage Enhancement found it in late 2025.The Ferrari F1 driver described it as a work of art:AdvertisementAdvertisement"My very own F40. It's my dream car and has been for as long as I can remember. These cars are works of art and are incredibly rare."And because the F40 is so rare, every driver and petrolhead would at least want to drive it, if not own it, and Alpine's Pierre Gasly was no exception. Hamilton drove his F40 to Monza for the Italian Grand Prix. While being interviewed alongside Haas' Oliver Bearman and Gasly, most questions were addressed to Hamilton, which prompted him to remind the reporters that there were other drivers in the room. He said:"Can I also just say, look, we've got two great gentlemen here, please make sure you share the questions between us all, and not just at me."Gasly replied:"I'd rather listen to you."He added:"Later, I want to ask for a ride, so [hinting at the F40]."
