Lewis Hamilton’s distinctive Pagani Zonda 760 LH, a special version named after the renowned Formula 1 World Champion, recently faced a painful mishap near the Penmaenbach tunnel in Conwy, Wales.
The bespoke Pagani Zonda has been part of Hamilton’s collection since 2012, it belongs to the select Pagani 760 series, which includes only five units worldwide. Importantly, this specific model is the only one equipped with a manual transmission. Interestingly, Hamilton had a minor collision with the same car back in 2015 and then sold it last year to British billionaire Mark Radcliffe, reportedly for about £8,5 million (approximately R204 654 160).
Featuring a powerful 7,3-litre naturally aspirated V12 engine from Mercedes-AMG, coupled with a six-speed manual gearbox, this Zonda 760 LH holds the distinction of being the first in the Zonda 760 lineup to have a manual transmission. Its unique appeal lies in its vivid purple paintwork and accents, although Hamilton himself openly admitted that, despite its impressive sound, the car had subpar handling.

The Pagani Zonda incident, documented in pictures and a dashcam video shared on Instagram by photographer Ethan Gale, displayed the battered condition of the hypercar. Astonishingly, the person at the wheel emerged from the accident without injury. Sadly, the car bore the brunt of the crash, with evident bodywork damage, a broken rear axle, a cracked windshield, and missing lights. The mishap occurred as the driver lost control of the car’s back end while accelerating into the tunnel, resulting in a spin.
