Most people attend motor shows to check out the cars but there is also an aspect of it that should not be missed, particularly for business owners, and that’s the commercial vehicles section. Companies like Daihatsu Malaysia are also present at KLIMS 2018 to show business owners (present and potential) the versatility of their range of commercial vehicles, like the Daihatsu Gran Max panel van.
The Gran Max is available with automatic transmission and is the first of its kind offered in the 1.5L small commercial van segment. Several examples of the Gran Max van are on display to showcase its practicality for small business owners and entrepreneurs, such as a mobile boutique or a mobile cafe. Also on display is a hydraulic tipper concept capable of transporting sand, gravel, etc.
Daihatsu Malaysia is collaborating with MUMU Scarves, a local hijab brand, on a mobile boutique van. Aside from the necessary outfitting to turn the Gran Max into a boutique on wheels, it is also kitted with daytime running lights, sun visors, scuff plates, bull bar, side mouldings, side mirror covers and sporty 15″ wheels.
The mobile cafe example is custom-built to resemble a Big Apple Donuts & Coffee food truck, to showcase a real-life example complete with a range of kitchen appliances.
In conjunction with KLIMS 2018, Daihatsu Malaysia is offering attractive rebates, free 1 year (or 20,000 km) service maintenance package, free cargo body worth RM2,000 and free petrol card worth RM2,000 for selected variants (while stocks last).
“The use of commercial vehicles has transformed over the years. Gone are the days where it is just getting from Point A to Point B but as a vehicle for mobile vending, delivery and servicing to meet the needs of the current market trend in Malaysia,” said Dr Iqbal Shaharom, President and Chief Executive Officer of MBM Resources and Managing Director of Daihatsu Malaysia. “Daihatsu Malaysia’s concept for this KLIMS is ‘Refine Modification’ and so attendees will get to see for themselves the transformation of Gran Max to reflect its durability, versatility, practicality and reliability,” he added.
