A driver in Texas has stumbled upon a Tesla Cybertruck stuck in the mud next to a Jeep Wrangler and Ford Super Duty.
Posting a video on Twitter, Stephanie Fischer says she was driving down a rural road in Texas when she noticed the rather large ute pulled over in the mud.
The video – although very shaky – shows the truck on the side of the road, lightly submerged in mud with several people standing nearby.
Skeptical Tesla enthusiasts questioned the video, however Ms Fischer later posted photos showing the muddy road-side track filled with tyre imprints and water puddles.
It’s unclear how the vehicle got out of the puddle. Traditionally vocal Tesla CEO Elon Musk has yet to comment on the post.
Multiple Cybertruck prototypes have been spied ahead of production beginning later this year, with the company saying first deliveries of the electric ute are planned for the third quarter of 2023.
Prior to removing specifications online for its Cybertruck in 2021, Tesla said the upcoming electric ute would be offered in either single-motor rear-wheel drive and dual-and tri-motor all-wheel-drive variants.
The tri-motor AWD option was advertised as having a claimed 800km of range, towing capacity of 6400kg, and a claimed 0-60mph (96.6km/h) of 2.9 seconds.
The Cybertruck will reportedly weigh between 5000-6000 pounds (2.2 tonnes – 2.7 tonnes). For context, a Ram 3500 Laramie weighs just over 3.5 tonnes.
