This thing will look great in the Trader Joe's parking lot.
What do you do when you want a vehicle that can climb the highest dune in the world, but the Mercedes G63 AMG just isn't good enough?
You turn to Pit26 Motorsports, and it will take your $200,000 luxury SUV up a few notches. The Pit26 G63 looks like it will conquer the widest deserts and harshest plains while cossetting you in utmost luxury.
The California-based tuner released the first version of the truck a couple of months ago but decided this new commission was worthy of some headlines as well. Like the last time, this upgrade adds capability but not power. The G63 still makes do with the 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine delivering 577 horsepower and 627 lb-ft of torque.

Most of the upgrades on this new truck are carried over from the previous model. The company starts by extending the wheelbase by 20 inches, giving it a truck bed, and adding re-geared portal axles that raise the ride height by nearly six inches.
Bilstein coilovers are also thrown into the fray, and finally, 18-inch Innov8 Racing Wheels wrapped in gargantuan 38×13.5R18 Toyo mud-terrain tires round things out.
The truck now features an entirely new running board system courtesy of Pit26 called the amp step system. The company says this allows users to easily access different areas of the truck while protecting the vehicle from damage. A new front bumper with a Warn winch and skid plates are also integrated into the massive rig to ensure that no matter where you're headed, you can make it back with minimal fluids lost to ill-advised lines.

The vehicle also has a special high-clearance bumper with rear swing-out capability and a full spare. This truck benefits from a few new things per the client's request, like the specially engineered roof rack. The system is loaded with 12 KC Hi-Lite flex-era lights arranged in spot and flood patterns to navigate the darkest conditions.
Using the unique mounting system, Pit26 came up with, a Truck Vault is integrated into the bed along with a Pro Eagle jack. It has a dual bike rack allows you to securely fasten a whole array of tools like shovels or axes.
As it's not a proper overlanding build without a rooftop tent, the custom roof rack adapter is made for mounting an IKamper Mini, and the Line-X bedliner is featured throughout, so nothing gets damaged.

The company only provided pictures of the truck's exterior, and the whole package makes the thing look like a proper off-road beast. If you want to get somewhere, this thing will get you there guaranteed, and if it can't, that place is probably called Mordor.
Of course, an upgrade like this is costly. You have to pay $385,000 over and above the price of the car, but if you ever get tired of it, the company says everything is easily reversible.
We don't know why anyone would want to do that, but at least you have the option. But don't worry because if this costly custom G63 build doesn't work out, there are many others to choose from.
