The modern iteration of the Chrysler 300 was only introduced in 2005 but the legacy of the Chrysler 300 spans several decades into the past. The original Chrysler wearing the name debuted in 1955, the first generation of the 300 was called the “letter series” because each model year was followed by a letter. When it was first introduced, the car was called the 300C and this is where the story starts for our topic of discussion today. Get a quick overview of its history here.
The famous Chrysler muscle sedan is making a return in 2023 and after that, Chrysler will cease production totally. The last generation of the Chrysler 300C will offer an 8-speed automatic transmission and a 6,4-litre V8 engine, churning out 362 kW and 644 N.m of torque. Chrysler says this ominous muscle car will go from 0-100 km/h in just 4,3 seconds… Suffice to say that the 300C legacy will not soon be forgotten!
The exterior design of the new sedan still carries the same feel and boldness of the past models but with smoother linework and appealing changes such as four red Brembo brake callipers, eye-catching black headlamp and taillamp bezels, the black chrome accents and a stunning black grille with a red, white, and blue badge in its upper flank. The limited edition Chrysler 300C will only be available in 3 body colours: Gloss Black, Velvet Red, and Bright White. The 300C is also fitted with a limited-slip differential, active dampers for the suspension and an active exhaust system to enhance that throaty V8 depending on driver mood.
