The new “Luxury” Trim level will complete Cadillac’s Y-trim strategy
Now entering its second year of production the Cadillac XT6 has been enhanced with the new Luxury trim level as well as a 2.0L turbocharged engine.
The new “Luxury” Trim level will complete Cadillac’s Y-trim strategy that includes the existing Sport and Premium Luxury trim levels.
The new trim level will arrive with a standard 2.0L I-4 Turbocharged engine that will produce 237 hp and 258 lb-ft of torque. This will be matched with the same 9-speed automatic transmission as the other trims and puts the power down to the road through Cadillac’s AWD system. All trim levels come with four selectable drive modes.
Fuel economy is rated at 11.2 (City) and 9.0 (Hwy) L/100km city/highway.
Like the Sport and Premium Luxury trims the new Luxury trim will come with standard LED lighting front and rear that includes the illuminated light blades for daytime running lights. As with the Premium Luxury trim, it will be distinguished by use of bright metallic and/or Galvano exterior finishes.
Internally the Luxury trim level will sport an 8-inch infotainment touchscreen that can be personalized and is controlled by the Cadillac User Experience.
Six USB ports are available with two being accessible in each seating row with a 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot keeping connectivity a priority throughout the cabin. A Bose eight-speaker sound system comes as standard as well.
A power, programable lift gate comes as standard as are the heated front row seats. The new trim will come with 18’ wheels.
New optional paint schemes have been added across the trims that include: Dark Moon Blue Metallic, Wilder and Infrared Tintcoat
The XT6 comes with a plethora of standard safety features that include: Forward Collision Alert, Following Distance Indicator, Automatic Emergency Braking, Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning, Safety Alert Seat, IntelliBeam headlamps, HD Rear View Camera and Front and Rear Park Assist.
