The long-awaited NCAP rating for the BYD Atto 3 has been delivered. It has received 5 stars in the 2022 Euro NCAP (European New Car Assessment Programme) test results from Europe’s leading vehicle safety authority.
The affordable ground-up EV did really well in protecting adult and children occupants.

Protection of vulnerable road users like pedestrians by the Atto 3 received nearly 70% in the test.
Other safety assist features provided a score of nearly 75%. These features include seatbelt reminders, AEB car-to-car system, speed assistance mode and a fairly good lane-keep assist system.

The safety rating has been awarded to all variants of the Atto 3. These include the standard range model with 420 km of WLTP range as well as the larger battery-equipped extended range model with 480 km of WLTP range.
Australian customers have started to receive deliveries of the Atto 3 and this 5 star Euro NCAP safety rating results give them and thousands of other order holders peace of mind.

With the Euro NCAP results awarding the highest star rating to the Atto 3, it’s expected that ANCAP (Australian counterpart) would be delivering their testing results shortly.
Having received a 5-star rating expected from ANCAP, it will help the BYD Atto 3 sales. Many companies and government fleet customers expect a 5-star rated car and this news will help them make a safe decision about their future cleaner fleets.
