Buick’s 2024 Envision will bring General Motor’s semi-autonomous driving assistance system Super Cruise to the brand, the company announced mid-June in a press release that also included the first two official photos of the upcoming sport-utility vehicle. Super Cruise, which allows for supervised hands-free driving on some 644,000 km of highway in North America, debuted on Cadillac vehicles a few years ago but is now spreading to other marques in GM’s stable.
Buick also specifically called out the new Envision’s “sculptural design language” as being inspired by its Wildcat EV concept car; highlights include Buick’s new grille and “body-mounted emblem” on the hood, both evident in the image released by the automaker. A second photo in the release showed off a driver making use of the Super Cruise system; and parts of the interior, which looks generally unchanged save for the Super Cruise bits.

“The new Envision is the third of five new vehicles Buick is debuting through 2024, continuing the brand’s momentum that has seen it become the fastest-growing consumer automotive brand in Canada,” read the release, noting the current Envision was “on track to have its best sales year ever.”
