A new era is upon Bentley! And it is being led by Mulliner with their recently revealed coupe which is heralding their design direction into the world of electrification. Despite only debuting a few days ago, a Batur cabrio has already been created albeit in digital format.

It may be powered by the polar opposite of sustainable electrification; a twin-turbocharged, earth rumbling, 6,0-litre W12 engine but the Mulliner model has become the first to bear the new design direction for Bentley’s electric future. At the moment, the coachbuilder who has brought this creation to life will only birth 18 of them to the world with all of them planned to be hardtops.
This is quite a shift from what we know to come out of Crewe factories considering the front and rear fascias have been drastically redesigned with lighting signatures being the most notable change.
Those wanting to enjoy the last of the W12 rumble with the top down can marvel at the latest rendering of the Batur cabrio provided by X-Tomi Design that shows the British brute with a roof delete. Not much has been changed from the $2 million coupe on which it is based, with the soft-top starting at the intersection of the A-pillar and roof and flowing all the way into where the C-pillar would merge into the body of the coupe.
As far as renderings go, this looks pretty good. If we hadn’t told you it was created solely in the digital realm, you may even believe it was real and while there are no immediate plans or hints from Bentley to do so, we must admit it would do well to forge forward from the Bentley Continental GT’s convertible derivative.
At the moment, the drop-top model created by Mulliner for Bentley is the Bacalar, which like this bespoke Batur, is all but sold out.
