ALFA ROMEO has this week announced pricing for its updated Giulia and Stelvio ranges which are expected in dealerships imminently.

Arriving this month, the Stelvio will be offered from $76,450 plus on-road costs, while the refreshed Giulia, which is due in dealerships from June, is now available from $68,450 +ORCs.

The pricing represents a respective increase on the entry point to the Stelvio and Giulia ranges of $11,500 (over the Stelvio 2.0) and $4500 (over the Giulia Sport).

Both ranges will be offered in Ti, Veloce and Quadrifoglio grades, the latter arriving in the fourth quarter of the year with pricing to be advised. At this stage, Alfa Romeo has only offered pricing on the entry Ti ranges.

Alfa Romeo says the updated Giulia and Stelvio “exude Italian character” with a new-look grille offering a modern take of the classis Trilobo grille.

Meanwhile, the cabin of the Italian duo is updated with “cutting-edge technology”, the most significant being the 12.3-inch digital instrument panel which is characterised by an historical Cannocchiale design. Alfa Romeo says the screen not only looks the goods, but also allows easier accessibility to system and navigation functions.

The Italian importer says the driving dynamics of the Giulia and Stelvio once again offer a “visceral driving experience”, striking the “right balance between Italian design, cutting-edge engine technology, perfect weight distribution, unique technical solutions and (an) excellent power-to-weight ratio”.

Giulia and Stelvio Ti and Veloce variants will be offered as standard with a high-performance 206kW turbocharged four-cylinder engine featuring MultiAir electro-hydraulic valve actuation technology and high-pressure direct injection.

Stelvio models feature Alfa Romeo’s Q4 all-wheel drive system as standard providing what the brand says is the benefits of four-wheel traction with the responsiveness and driving pleasure of a rear-wheel drive vehicle.

The Veloce trim offers Q2 (two-wheel drive) with a self-locking rear differential, emphasising agility and sporty character, the brand says.

Both models are equipped with Level 2 ADAS technology including traffic jam and highway assist systems, and traffic sign recognition with intelligent speed control. Additional safety technologies include active blind spot monitoring, autonomous emergency braking, lane keep assist, active cruise control, driver behaviour warning, and forward collision warning.

Other standard inclusions are Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, a wireless device charging dock, dual-zone climate control, heated and electrically adjustable front seats and a hands-free tailgate. A panoramic roof is available optionally.

Ti variants are further characterised by a silver front V-bezel and badging, new textured grille, black wing mirror caps, Vesuvio Grey body kit (Stelvio), darkened tail-lights, 19-inch alloys, LED Matric headlights, and dark matte exhaust tips.

Inside, the Ti features leather upholstery, real Oakwood inlays, a heated leather steering wheel, perforated leather gear shift knob, aluminium pedals and a black ceiling trim. Electrochromatic rear-view mirrors are standard alongside heated washers, an 8.8-inch infotainment array, keyless entry and ignition and, on Stelvio, a space saver spare wheel.

Options include premium paint, a panoramic roof, black or tan leather (Giulia) and black or chocolate leather (Stelvio).

Alfa Romeo has yet to price its mid-tier Veloce twins, but notes additional equipment including a dark-look frontal V-bezel, 20-inch alloys (Stelvio), black gloss DLO garnishing, rear diffuser, red brake calipes (Giulia) and Vulcano black body kit (Stelvio).

Interior highlights include sports seats, aluminium inlays and aluminium shift paddles, privacy glass, an alarm, a leather upholstered dashboard, upper door cards and centre armrest, and a 14-speaker harman/kardon premium audio system.

Options include premium paint, a panoramic roof and the choice of black or red leather.
