The DBS 770 Ultimate will be limited to just 499 examples.
Aston Martin revealed Wednesday it plans to send off its DBS grand tourer with a high-powered limited edition called the DBS 770 Ultimate.
The British sports car maker published a short teaser video alongside the brief announcement confirming the car’s 770 PS (759 hp). Aston says the DBS 770 Ultimate will have a “re-engineered, sharper dynamic focus coupled with exquisite design,” though it gives away little else in terms of looks or specs.
We suspect an uprated version of the standard DBS’s 5.2-liter twin-turbo V-12, which makes 715 horsepower in its current form. Going on the phrase “sharper dynamic focus,” it’s likely the 770 Ultimate will get a sportier suspension and possibly more aggressive aerodynamics.
There’s no knowing for sure just how “Ultimate” the 770 will be until the car is revealed later this year. Prospective buyers should take note of the limited availability—Aston plans to build just 499 examples to close out production of the DBS entirely. So if you’ve always been wanting a V-12-powered British grand tourer, we suggest getting your name on the list.
