Aston Martin has given its car for the 2023 Formula 1 season, the AMR23, its on-track debut ahead of the new campaign.
The challenger was launched from its Silverstone facility earlier this week, with the car taking to the nearby circuit to complete its first run on Wednesday.
Teams are permitted to take their cars onto the track twice during the year outside of official test and weekend sessions.
However, non-race Pirelli-spec tyres must be used, and running is limited to 100km.
Aston Martin enters the 2023 campaign with a revised driver line-up following the retirement of Sebastian Vettel last year.
The four-time World Champion has been replaced by Fernando Alonso, who will partner Lance Stroll.
Stroll enters his fifth season with the squad, having originally joined it in 2019 when it ran under the Racing Point guise.
Aston Martin ended the 2022 campaign seventh in the Constructors’ Championship, tied on points with Alfa Romeo – however the latter took sixth in the standings on account of having a better race-finish during the year.
The AMR23 car will be back on track next week, when pre-season testing from the Bahrain International Circuit takes place.
