PETALING JAYA: Triumph Motorcycles Malaysia has unveiled the all-new Triumph Tiger 1200.
The new Tiger 1200 adventure and touring motorcycle will be offered locally in two variants of GT Pro and Rally Explorer.
The GT Pro is more attuned to touring while the Rally Explorer is designed for on-road and off-road riding.
The Rally Explorer comes with a wet weight of 261kg and a 30-litre fuel capacity.
Meanwhile, the GT Pro is lighter at 245kg with a smaller 20-litre tank.
Both variants are powered by a new generation 1,160cc T-plane triple 3-cylinder engine that comes with 12 valves, dual camshafts and liquid cooling.
Output is 148HP at 9,000rpm with 130Nm of torque at 7,000rpm.
Notable features for both bikes are hill hold, cruise control, five riding modes, adaptive cornering lighting, all-led lighting with daytime running light, LED Auxiliary Lights, 7-inch TFT instrument panel with My Triumph Connectivity System, ABS and Traction Control, hand guards, aluminium skid plate.
However, blindspot radar, tyre pressure monitoring system, engine protection bars and fuel tank protection bars are only available on the Rally Explorer.
The GT Pro is priced at RM115,900 (excluding road tax and insurance) and the Rally Explorer costs more at RM130,900.
