Italian marque joins Audi, Genesis, Jaguar, Land Rover, Lexus, Mercedes-Benz and Volvo with five-year/unlimited-km warranty
Alfa Romeo has joined the growing ranks of premium auto brands offering a five-year, unlimited-kilometre factory warranty and in this case it’s backed by a roadside assistance package also extended from three years to five years.
Forming part of the Italian brand’s ‘Head & Heart Promise’ campaign, the move is designed to underscore Alfa’s modern “reliability and reputability” – both things it has traditionally struggled with in decades past.
Applying to all new models sold and registered as of April 22, Alfa’s new five-year warranty replaces the Italian brand’s old three-year/150,000km aftersales coverage, which still applies to new vehicles sold and registered before April 21.
Alfa Romeo Tonale
Alfa Romeo Australia aftersales and customer experience director Stephen Lester said the brand was focused on strengthening its “customer commitment”.
“Our cars represent a uniquely emotional investment and we’re making the experience more appealing than ever before with added value and increased reassurance,” he said.
Alfa Romeo Stelvio
While Alfa Romeo had a slow sales year in 2021 – when it axed the 4C sports car and Giulietta hatch, leaving it with only the Giulia sedan and Stelvio SUV – at least it now offers a longer warranty than Tesla and Rolls-Royce, which both remain at four years.
Premium rivals with even shorter three-year warranties continue to include BMW, Bentley, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Lotus, Maserati, MINI and Porsche.
