Few brands can brag of a 100-year history but with an illustrious past comes the opportunity to ensure an ever-lasting legacy. The Alfa Romeo Classiche program does just this with certificates of authenticity to approve full-blown restorations.

Taking place at the 39th edition of Auto e Moto d’Epoca between the 20th and 23rd of October, Alfa Romeo officially announced the Classiche program which will promote their impressive lineage while aiding owners with authenticity.
Jean Philippe Imparato, Alfa Romeo CEO stated that while Alfa Romeo is moving into the future, the brand uses its heritage as a main source of inspiration. Imparato concluded: “For us, the Alfa Romeo Classiche heritage program aims to enhance our historic automotive heritage by certifying the authenticity of vintage Alfa Romeos and giving new life to marvellous examples that still captivate and excite car enthusiasts around the world.”

This certainly won’t hamper the illustrious Italian brand’s roadmap. “Alfa Romeo is going through a key phase in its history. The historical period we are going through is a genuine evolution. The brand’s future includes very ambitious goals aimed at redefining the concept of sportiness in the 21st century while remaining faithful to its DNA.” added Imparato.
The Stellantis Heritage department will aid Alfa Romeo in the Classiche program with plans for a heritage area on the official Alfa Romeo website in the works. This is where owners of lucrative models from the Italian automaker will be able to certify and officially restore their Biscione badged models.
The Classiche program will be comprised of three aspects. A Certificate of Origin, which the brand has been doing since 2016 while a certificate of authenticity and restoration has now been offered to private owners.
The Certificate of Origin uses the chassis number of the vehicle to provide an accurate document review through production registers with a certificate certifying the car’s year of production and original configuration. This includes exterior, interior, specification and engine number.
The Certificate of Authenticity is more centred around the iconic and historic cars of the Italian brand where owners seeking the certification can have their classic inspected at home or at the Officine Classiche in Mirafiori, Italy.
The Restoration is the final offering from the Classiche program. It is available to private clients in need of mundane maintenance of their classic Alfa all the way to complete restoration at the hands of skilled artisans.
