The 2024 Acura Integra Type S will boast 320 horsepower and 310 lb-ft of torque, five more ponies than (though with the same amount of torque as) the 2023 Honda Civic Type R with which it shares its turbocharged 2.0-litre VTEC four-cylinder, the automaker confirmed late March, ahead of the car’s full reveal in mid-April. That’s certainly in the “300+” range Acura told us the car was rocking during our test drive last November, and – surprise, surprise – the company also just firmed up what it told us then, too, about the Type S coming only with a six-speed manual.
Acura loosed the info Monday along with some close-up images teasing the Integra Type S’ fender flares, which we have to admit seem to add quite a bit of width over the stock car. There’s new video, too, gracing our ears with the wondrous note piped out of the car’s triple-tip exhaust system.
This author is not even that much of an Acura fan, and even I have to admit my curiosity’s been piqued. If yours has, too, you’ll want to keep your eyes open in just under a month from now, when the automaker said the Integra Type S will make its full debut. More specifically, it said we can expect to see the car just before the 48th annual Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach, which happens April 16.
