Volkswagen employees can now, finally, order electric cars as company cars again. The company has insisted employees wait two years before they can get electric vehicles from their own company as company cars.

Back in 2021, the group informed its approximately 18,000 executives that electric and hybrid models would “probably not be orderable” as company cars until the end of 2022 due to the electric boom and the chip shortage.

Although the “electric ban” has now been lifted again, only the ID.4 and ID.5 models are currently available to Volkswagen employees as electric company cars.
