The Philippine-market KTM 890 Adventure R hasn’t officially been launched yet, but there’s already a limited-edition Rally version for those with even more money to burn than the 890’s P950,000 asking price.
Available for preorder on September 20 via indent, the Rally model gets pro-level components with a WP Xplor Pro 7548 fork with Cone Valve technology, and an Xplor Pro 6746 rear shock absorber. Derived from WP’s rally experience, the premium suspension offers the highest level of damping while also providing a massive 270mm (10.6 inches!) of travel at both ends.
These components are comparable to those fitted to the Red Bull KTM 450 Rally bike used by 2023 Dakar Rally winner Kevin Benavides.

Heavy-duty Excel rims with Mitas Enduro Trail tires are fitted, along with a race-specific Rally seat, Rally foot pegs for better feel and grip, carbon-fiber tank guards, and additional armor for the engine, the rear master cylinder, and the suspension.
The rear sprocket is a Supersprox Stealth for additional durability. Seat height is a towering 910mm, so make sure to do a lot of jumping on New Year if you’re not especially long-legged.

The 889cc parallel-twin engine is unchanged, delivering 105hp and 100Nm. The Rally model breathes better right off the showroom floor with an Akrapovič slip-on exhaust similar to that used by KTM’s factory racing teams.
The Rally’s riding aids include a Tech Pack with a quickshifter, lean-sensitive traction control, and ABS—as well as a “Rally mode” with 10 levels of traction control intervention and three levels of throttle responsiveness.

With a €22,900 price tag—or an estimated P1.4 million before shipping and local taxes—the 890 Adventure R Rally is for moneyed enthusiasts with the skill (and the height) to really maximize the bike’s performance potential. Or for those who just want a very rare bike, period. Available for preorder via KTM’s website on September 20, a deposit of €890 (P54,250) is required to reserve your unit.

Order a Rally and you can also book yourself on an off-road adventure with the “Ultimate KTM Desert Experience.” To be held in Morocco in March 2024, 34 slots will be offered to Rally customers for a tour package cost of €4,900 (P298,800) per head.
Participants get to use a fully prepped 890 Adventure R Rally for several days riding in the Moroccan desert, transport during the trip, and luxury accommodations for a three-night stay plus one-night camping in the desert. The route will take place where the KTM Factory Rally Team conducts their testing, so you’ll get a feel for how much development work goes into the bikes.
