About 750 cyclists joined the Isuzu Fun Ride 2023 recently to enjoy a car-free Sunday morning and take in the wonderful sights around Ipoh city and its suburbs. The Isuzu Fun Ride event was organised by authorised dealer, Weng Fatt Otomobil, in conjunction with the official launch of its new-look 3S Centre.

Present to flag off the event was assemblyman for Pasir Pinji, YB Goh See Hua, alongside Isuzu Malaysia CEO Shunsuke Okazoe, COO Kenkichi Sogo and Director of Weng Fatt Otomobil, Cheng Kah Yik, who later joined the participants on the shorter 3 km ride.

YB Goh commended Isuzu Malaysia and Weng Fatt Otomobil for creating an event that celebrated  environmentally-friendly activities while taking in the beauty and appeal that Ipoh had to offer. “Events of this nature not only allow participants to develop a deeper appreciation of cities by admiring its charm at a leisurely pace, it is also a healthy and environmentally-friendly pursuit that is suitable for all levels of cycling enthusiasts. I hope that other organisations will also take the lead to create more of such activities that allow us to appreciate the cities we live in”.

The Isuzu Fun Ride kicked off from the Isuzu 3S facility on Jalan Raja Permaisuri Bainun for a 40-kilometre route that passes various landmarks of the city before circling back to the showroom where participants were treated to refreshments. The participants were also treated to an opportunity to take home fabulous prizes in a lucky draw contest.

“As a brand that places environment care as a key pillar of the business, Isuzu is always mindful of the need to develop socially-responsible and healthy pursuits. Events such as this Fun Ride provides us an opportunity to create family-based activities that are both fun and healthy in nature,” said Mr Okazoe.

The Isuzu Fun Ride in Ipoh is an example of similar events planned by Isuzu for the future with participation of Isuzu dealers in other major locations around the country. You can look out for announcements in pickuptruck.isuzu.net.my or https://www.facebook.com/ISUZU.DMax.Malaysia/.
