Toyota has done it again with the 2023 Toyota bZ4X. It’s Toyota’s first fully electric vehicle of the modern automotive age, and critics are swooning. Even though there are far too many things to praise about this latest edition to the Toyota lineup, we’ve included five features you’ll be sure to adore.

1. You’ll love all the extra space

For those who lose the bet and are relegated to the dreaded back seat, this can often feel like torture in small SUVs. This is especially true for adults who have long legs and are often forced to hunch, so their heads don’t bump into the low ceilings.

That’s not an issue with the 2023 Toyota bZ4X, according to CarWow on YouTube. This is thanks in large part to a few small but crucial details, such as floors that are flat. The weird hump placed in the middle of the back, which has been the trend for so many years now, is noticeably missing. This allows adults to sit in the middle without having to twist and jerk their legs to find a comfortable seated position.

In fact, you can sit three full-grown adults in the back, and there’s no weird tangle of legs as everyone tries to get comfortable. If that’s not cool enough, you can even install baby seats with no drama.

2. Enter the X-Mode

X-Mode is designed by the Subaru brand, although Toyota owns a portion of it and has included it in the 2023 Toyota bZ4X. For those who live in climates with weather that changes from day to day, or even hour to hour, X-Mode may be a dream come true.

The bZ4X’s X-Mode allows you to be more specific about what you’re driving through, such as selecting snow and deep mud. This, in turn, enables the bZ4X to determine how much power should go to each axle, so you don’t have to worry.

3. No cramming the cargo cover into random spaces

Having extra accessories such as cargo covers is great, but finding a place to put them, not so much. Unless you love Tetris so much you want to play a real-life version of it, that is.

The 2023 Toyota bZ4X has taken the guesswork out of where to place the cargo cover when it’s not in use. This is especially useful when your back is full and you just want to go home and get unloaded.

All you need to do is lift the lid covering the back and then slide the cargo cover into a neat little slot designed just for it. Even better is the fact that you don’t have to shove, twist, turn, cram, or jerk to get it in and out.

4. Top features you’ll love

Say what you want about Toyota, but it’s a very giving company, especially regarding the features consumers crave. No matter which trim level you’re interested in, your Toyota bZ4X will come equipped with adaptive cruise control and lane-keeping assist.

For those not familiar with lane-keeping assist, it simply ensures you stay in your own lane, especially for highway driving. For those prone to drifting as they drive, this may be the perfect tool you’ve been waiting for.

5. Remote A/C

There are few things worse than getting into a hot car during the height of summer, especially if you have leather seats. While many vehicles offer the ability to crank your car to get the heat started for winter, Toyota has decided to add A/C to this list.

All you need to do is hit the A/C button on your key fob and hold it down. Your Toyota bZ4X will then crank up on its own and start that blessed cool air you’ve desperately craved since you first stepped out into the heat.
