Debuting at the Goodwood Festival of Speed that is underway for this weekend, the new 478 kW W12 Bentley Mulliner sits above all others in the Continental GT range and can hit 100 km/h from standstill in 3,5 seconds.

The new Mulliner beholds a 6,0-litre W12 motor under the front bonnet but this time power has been increased by 4% to yield a total of 478 kW while torque remains the same 900 N.m as before. This means that the Grand Tourer can hit 100 km/h from standstill in 3,5 seconds and propel the luxurious mass onto a top speed of 335 km/h.

Other interesting numbers that the Crewe manufacturer pride themselves on for the 478 kW W12 Bentley Mulliner is that it entails Bentley’s “Diamond in Diamond” quilting, with each diamond containing 712 stitches. This accounts for just under 400 000 stitches on the whole of the interior; these can be found on the seats, doors and rear quarter panels. The rest of the interior offers a three colour split which comprises a primary, secondary and accent colour while 88 different wood veneers can be chosen from.

The Mulliner text can be found on each headrest with a detailed logo of the specification trim imprinted onto the dashboard ahead of the passenger. Of course, you’d want passengers to know that this Bentley is top of the Continental GT range, since it is positioned above the Azure models, V8-powered GT S and the W12 Speed. The newcomer combines the luxury of the Azure and the power increase of the Speed into a single commodious package.

To help cope with the gross mass of the 478 kW W12 Bentley Mulliner, electronic all-wheel steering makes manoeuvring the behemoth a tad bit easier while an electronic limited-slip differential with active torque vectoring assists with laying the the power down onto the tarmac.

The exterior boasts unique 22-inch wheels that include self-levelling badges while the front end sports the new “Double Diamond” matrix grille. The mirror caps can also be finished in either satin silver or black while the denfer vents can be had in the same silver/black colour combination as the grille.
