Ford Australia has confirmed that the special edition 2024 Ford Everest Wildtrak will be launched locally in the third quarter of 2023. Priced from $73,090 plus on-road costs, the Wildtrak sits above the Sport but below the range-topping Platinum. It introduces new features to the Everest like ‘Cyber Orange’ paintwork and the same colour for the stitching inside, unique exterior styling for a tougher look and Wildtrak badging across the bonnet.
“Australians understand what the Wildtrak badge means – which is why it is one of our most popular Ranger variants – and we’re thrilled to add it to the Everest family for the first time,” said Andrew Birkic, President and CEO, Ford Australia and New Zealand.
“Everest Wildtrak will give customers a vehicle that helps them go wherever their adventurous spirit takes them, and puts a smile on their face while doing it.”
Over the Everest Sport that sits below it, the 2024 Ford Everest Wildtrak adds a number of features, including 20-inch alloy wheels, a panoramic sunroof, tyre pressure monitoring, exterior zone lighting, a 360-degree camera, black full leather upholstery with orange stitching, tyre pressure monitoring, ambient interior lighting and unique exterior accents, including Wildtrak badging, a Wildtrak front bumper with dark accents, black wheel arch trim and black window surrounds.
That’s on top of the equipment offered by the Sport, which includes dusk- and rain-sensing automatic LED headlights, auto wipers, dual-zone climate control with a rear fan speed controller, a 12-inch touchscreen with Ford’s ‘Sync 4’ infotainment system, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, satellite navigation with live traffic, digital radio, a 10-speaker sound system, a wireless phone charger, keyless entry and start, heated and auto-folding mirrors, an electric tailgate, rear privacy glass, roof rails, a 10-way electric driver’s seat with memory, heated and cooled front seats and an 8.0-inch digital driver’s display.
Safety kit includes nine airbags, auto emergency braking (AEB) with pedestrian and cyclist detection, adaptive cruise control with stop and go functionality, lane keep assist with lane departure warning, lane trace assist, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, rear auto braking, auto high beam, speed sign recognition, driver attention monitoring, front and rear parking sensors and a 360-degree camera.
The only options available for the 2024 Ford Everest Wildtrak are $700 premium paint, a $1,700 tow pack with a tow bar and integrated brake controller and no-cost smaller 18-inch wheels with all-terrain tyres.
Spending the extra $5,440 to the top-spec Everest Platinum adds chrome exterior highlights, larger 21-inch alloy wheels, Matrix LED adaptive high beam headlights, quilted leather upholstery, a heated steering wheel, a 12.4-inch digital driver’s display, a 12-speaker Bang and Olufsen sound system, automatic parking, heated second row seats and power-folding third row seats.
The only engine available for the 2024 Ford Everest Wildtrak is the familiar 184kW/600Nm 3.0-litre V6 turbo-diesel that’s also used in Sport and Platinum models. It’s mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission and a full-time all-wheel drive system with various driving modes. In the Platinum, it’s rated at 8.5L/100km for combined cycle fuel consumption with CO2 emissions rated at 224g/km. When fitted with the $1,700-optional Tow Pack, the Everest Wildtrak can tow a 3,500kg braked trailer.
