BMW has premiered the all-new F80 M3 CS, which is even more potent than the BMW M3 competition, and is the most powerful M3 that BMW has ever produced. The super saloon will only be produced in a 1,000-unit global run by the Bavarian automaker, with production set to start in March.
The 3.0-litre turbo straight six engine in this limited-edition BMW produces an impressive 550PS and 650Nm, which is transmitted to all four wheels via BMW’s xDrive four-wheel drive system. A selectable RWD option is also included.
The M3 CS will sprint from 0 to 100 kmph in just 3.4 seconds and will continue to do so till it reaches its top speed of 303 kmph.
The 2024 M3 CS, which is based on the current-generation 3 Series, has 3D-printed cylinder heads, a forged lightweight crankshaft, and components made of carbon fibre-reinforced plastic (CFRP). As a result, the kerb weight is 20 kg less than the M3 Competition.
The new BMW M3 CS maintains the normal BMW M3’s profile while adding a sloping roofline, a long, sculpted bonnet, a massive kidney grille, huge air dams, a front air splitter, and LED headlights with yellow DRLs.
Customized settings for camber, dampers, auxiliary springs, anti-roll bars, and steering are all part of the specific CS suspension tuning.
Larger M carbon ceramic brakes are available as an option and are concealed beneath staggered lightweight alloy wheels measuring 19 inches in front and 20 inches in the rear. Big M brakes are standard.
The inside of the 2024 BMW M3 CS is sporty yet opulent, with five seats, a carbon fibre-trimmed minimalist console, Merino leather upholstery, M Carbon bucket seats, an Anthracite-colored headliner, and an M Alcantara steering wheel with CFRP paddle shifters. It features a 14.9-inch touchscreen infotainment console and a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster.
