2023 honda accord starts just shy of 40 grand in canada

Honda’s new 2023 Accord will arrive at Canadian dealerships in February, the company said late January, revealing pricing – a starting MSRP of $37,000 – for the sedan as well. With 247 lb-ft of torque, Honda says the new model ranks among the most powerful Accord hybrids it’s ever offered, while simultaneously promising fuel efficiency of up to 5.0 litres per 100 kilometres in the city, and 5.3 L/100 km combined.

“The Honda Accord has long been considered one of the best mid-size sedans you can buy. I know that the all-new 11th-generation Accord, with its sophisticated design, refined and exhilarating driving experience, reliability, and exceptional value, will keep that reputation intact,” Steve Hui, assistance vice president, Honda Canada, said in a statement. “Accord Sport and Touring Hybrid models offer performance, efficiency and connectivity as we continue our strategy to quickly transition to an electrified future.”

The new midsize sedan will come in three trims – the EX, the Sport, and the Touring – and feature a 1.5-litre turbocharged engine. Two of the three trims will be available with hybrid drivetrains.

The EX ($37,000) is equipped with heated front seats, a one-touch power sliding moonroof, dual-zone automatic climate control, and an eight-way power driver’s seat with lumbar control. It also has an upgraded eight-speaker audio system and 17-inch alloy wheels, standard. The car is also equipped with a built-in Google suite, including Google Assistant, Google Maps, and Google Play.

The Accord Sport ($41,000) meanwhile is one of the trims offered as a hybrid vehicle. It has an all-new and more refined 2.0-litre Atkinson-cycle four-cylinder engine that’s upped horsepower to 204, a three-hp increase; it sits on Berlina Black 19-inch alloy wheels. Also included is a leather-wrapped shift knob and heated steering wheel. Oh, did I mention that Sport models come with Honda’s largest-ever touchscreen — a 12.3-inch display? Yeah, that’s in there, too.

Lastly, the Touring ($44,500) – also with a hybrid option – offers much of the same features as the Sport trim, including that huge touchscreen, but adds on a redesigned, customizable six-inch head-up display; a 12-speaker Bose premium audio system; and more.
