Like something out of a bad dream, watching this 1962 Corvette plunge from the top of a trailer is pure nightmare fuel.
On essentially a daily basis, valuable cars are bought and sold, many of them transported to their new homes via big trucks and trailers. This process is completed time and time again without incident, but every now and then, something very bad happens. Unfortunately for the owner of the 1962 Corvette in this video recently posted on TikTok, things went about as bad as one can possibly imagine after the classic convertible rolled right off the back, smashing to the ground in true nightmare fashion.
While someone was filming the whole thing – because, you know, this is a very special occasion – the driver of the semi slowly pushes the 1962 Corvette back onto the lift so that it can be lowered to the ground from the top portion of the transporter. Unfortunately, the car moves backward a bit too fast, to the point where it rolls over the wheel chock that the driver placed on the ramp to stop it.
Despite the driver’s best efforts to keep the car from rolling off the ramp, it’s far too late now, and he’s left to simply watch the 1962 Corvette smash down on the ground, landing in horrific fashion. As one might imagine, there’s a whole lot of profanity that comes next, so you’ll want to mute the sound if that sort of thing bothers you. Personally, we can’t imagine the things that would come out of our mouths if we witnessed our own classic Corvette taking a dive from this height, so we can’t blame them.
The aftermath is every bit as ugly, with a clear crack in the car’s fiberglass body, not to mention the inevitable damage that occurred underneath that we can’t see in the video. We’re certain that insurance will cover these damages, but then again, it’s unclear if the new or existing owner will even want to tackle what looks like some seriously major repairs, though we don’t know any specifics about the car itself.

Either way, we can’t even begin to imagine the anger, sadness, and various other emotions that the owner went through watching this horrific accident, because it’s certainly making us cringe – even though this obviously isn’t our headache to deal with.
