High-performance hatchbacks do not get more iconic than the Lancia Delta Integrale and a remarkably clean example is set to sell for supercar money.
This is #69 of just one of 400 Martini 5 Evoluzione models produced for the 1992 model year. It was apparently discovered in the basement of an Italian dealership before being purchased and imported by the current seller in 2018. What’s particularly amazing about the car is that it has only been driven 169 km (104 miles) and could very well be one of the lowest mileage Delta Integrale models on earth.
The Bring a Trailer listing notes that the car is finished in a shade of white dubbed Bianco and comes complete with Martini Racing-inspired stripes along both sides. It continues to sit on the original 15-inch white Speedline alloy wheels shod in 205/50 Michelin MXX tires.
Found in the cabin are black Recaro sport seats with red contrast stitching while at the rear is a bench seat. It also has the original Clarion AM/FM cassette player and gauges with yellow letters that really catch the eye.
Powering the rally-bred hatch is a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that had its timing belt replaced, the oil changed, and the coolant flushed in 2020. Mated to this four-cylinder is a five-speed manual transmission driving all four wheels through a Ferguson viscous coupling center differential and a Torsen limited-slip rear differential. The car also has a Lancia Classiche Certificate of Authenticity.
Prices of rare Lancia Delta Integrale models have soared in recent years but this example is set to sell for a truly extraordinary sum. With seven days left in the listing, bidding had exceeded the $210,000 mark. To put that into perspective, a 1995 Delta HF Integrale Evo II was sold at a UK auction for the equivalent of $87,147 earlier in March.
