This contest is held to celebrate Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia’s achievement of the significant 100,000-unit sales milestone. Since the company’s inception in 2005, MMM has continuously worked on delivering innovative products to Malaysians. The Triton pick-up truck has been the foundation of Mitsubishi Motors’ business, and over the years has served customers with its good handling, performance and safety, and competitive pricing that caters to the different budgets and needs.

The robust Mitsubishi Triton had a robust 2021, maintaining its 22% market share despite competition from rivaling brands and hiccups caused by the pandemic. Despite the challenges, MMM managed to sell 9,268 units of the Triton in 2021, a 34% improvement compared to the previous year.

It is capable in the harshest of off-road conditions but also perfect as an everyday vehicle. Our Triton customers come from all walks of life – business owners, off-road enthusiasts, and lifestyle users. Over the years, with Triton’s improved technology and functionality, it has inspired owners to take on challenges and push the boundaries in creating an exciting life journey, while fulfilling their dreams and ambitions,” said Shinya Ikeda, CEO of Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia.

The 100,000th buyer of the Triton is Encik Muhammad Faerus who is a solar panel installation contractor. He bought his Triton from authorised dealer EON Auto Mart, Jalan Ampang, KL. For signing that sale & purchase agreement, he is now the recipient of 100,000 km worth of diesel (valued at about RM27,000) courtesy of MMM.
